I had always used RUKIND when I was at home with a computer. They are great to travel with, but inevitably, I always seem to leave them in some other state. A local headshop has sold them for years. I have owned both the complete GD songbook and the Jerry band one several times. Thanks for your time, and hopefully thanks for your help!
Here's a link to the JG book, it's unavailable, but atleast it has a picture to show what I'm talking about. Not sure why, but I have an easier time learning out of them. I've got many other GD music books, but these two would really help me. I've seen them in person, but neither person was willing to sell their copy.
If anyone knows the Author of these books, who signs them as "grateful dead songbook guy", or has another way to get me a copy of the "complete grateful dead songbook", I would greatly appreciate your help. They're pretty generic, with lyrics and guitar chords to go with, black and white pages, and a printed on construction paper cover, and black spiral bound. I've been on the hunt for a while, so to hear I was so close, yet so far away really sucked. Supposedly they were selling them in Chicago on the lot, but I never did see them. This article aims to provide answers to two questions: why teach about the music of the Grateful Dead, and how to do so? In an effort to engage the former, this article examines the ways that the Grateful Dead provides a rich and unique case study towards a deeper understanding of American popular music.
